About MARCIE

Public Art projects include work in the San Luis Obispo Children’s Museum “Saber-toothed Cat Habitat”, work in the Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital, and 7 utility boxes for the City of San Luis Obispo and Pismo Beach.

As a natural history and children’s book illustrator, Marcie has worked on more than a dozen books, including Sierra Club Book’s best-selling “The Complete Encyclopedia of Edible Landscaping”.

As well as being an accomplished painter in acrylic, water color, and oils, Marcie is a master of digital painting. Computer generated paintings have been published as catalogue covers and commercial products.

Concept design options for projects are created on the computer overlaying photographs for client presentation, or ideas digitally painted as individual images.

Color consultation is another service provided for private residences and commercial projects.

Commissioned fine arts paintings, drawings and murals are welcome.

Marcie also occasionally offers workshops in travel journaling and creativity.

Art enables us to find ourselves and lose ourselves at the same time.
